Where to contribute res.period?

Hello all,

I need a little supporting model to manage time periods similar 
account.period in Odoo 8 (name, start date, end date). I can imagine 
different scenarios where such a supporting model can be helpful. That's 
why I prefer to create a more general model called "res.period" instead 
of a model just for my current case (e.g. "xyz.period").

Which OCA github repository do you suggest for contributing for this 
tiny model? My colleague suggested OCB, since it would be really basic.
