Hi,
The hierarchy is not needed in accounting because the chart of account has limited scope, whereas for projects you can have hundreds of projects, 7 levels deep.
You would need to design one report for each project, which seems to be impractical.

If you understand this concept all is easier to understand (and I must accept easier to mainatin and implement).- "Hierarchy is a way of see the data, it is not mandatory to have the date on that way, then hierarchy is a report not a datamodel"
I am one of the bigger defenders of Hierarchy whenever it is needed, BUT in accounting it happens that with some programming you can have it at report level perfectly. We did it for Mexico and it works pretty well.Nhomar HernandezCEO Vauxoo.Site: http://vauxoo.comTwitter: @nhomarBlog: http://nhomar.comGithub User: https://github.com/nhomarOdoo Gold PartnerSkype: nhomar00 (Envia mail previo no lo superviso siempre).HangOut: nhomar@vauxoo.com______________________________
