Meanwhile..is anybody of you willing to share a sketch of the necessary code so that I can build a "private" module for me and my customers in the meantime?

That was exactly my reason here.

If it is not completing a higher set of things it is not logic as a very specific module to be maintained.

The nicer option is that odoo itself brings such element back inside the project module itself linked with the processes themselves, but let's see if this conversation brings them some new ideas.
