Software Engineer at Foodles, responsible for developing and maintaining custom Odoo modules with occasional contributions to the OCA. Previous experience includes SaaS development in the healthcare and AI music industries, as well as research and development in social robotics.
At Foodles we regularly organize meals for or with other businesses. Currently, this involves a manual process of managing the supplier orders and transfers from reception to customer delivery. As we aim to streamline our operations, we are working on automating this process. In this talk, I will discuss the specific constraints and challenges we face.
Our goal is to automatically create the transfers and purchase orders as soon as a sales order is confirmed, while also accounting for the expiration dates of our short-shelf-life products and the varying working schedules of everyone involved.
Finally, I will present the custom Odoo module we have developed to try and meet this goal.
