Well yes, except that it mostly went well...

* debian upgrade was effortless
* database cluster upgrade required using screen to avoid the 
pg_upgradecluster command being cut off when disconnecting, but no issue 
* all the custom configured services were upgraded by rebuilding the 
virtual environment / docker images depending on the cases, and after 
that ran smoothly
* maybe Pedro had so struggle a bit more because of the electronic 
invoice modules incompatibilities with factur-x -> we had to disable 1
* the front end had a couple of pages for which we had to manually cleanup

It took some time (but we were absolutely not in a rush) but it would be 
a boring blog post I think :) But don't be mistaken, I'm really super 
happy with such upgrades happening in a boring way. :D
